Ninis T ‘28 And The Junior Varsity Soccer Team Mid-Huddle
By Ninis T ‘28
As the fall season concluded, JV soccer had a historic season with the team ending with a record of 2-4-2 overall, and an in-league record of 1-4-1. Despite their unglamorous record, the team was able to make the semifinals for the first time in over 10+ years and achieve their best record in that same period. Despite ending the year with a rough 3-0 loss to Trevor, the team had various comebacks against Grace, LREI, along with a tie against UNIS, one of the most formidable teams in the league. This team made historic accomplishments, consisting of mainly freshmen. There were many notable players, with Arman S '29 and Ting C’29 dominating the offensive production, alongside Ryan S '29 providing a notable hat trick. In the midfield the team had David.L’28 returning, making his presence known through his lockdown defense. In the defense we had newcomer Victor Z’28 known for his aggression and Frank.F’29 as an all-around player. The captains keeping the team united were Jack S’29, Danny Y’29 and Ninis T’28. Despite the exit in the semifinals, the team played with constant passion, drawing many in attendance to support the team to the end.
